You Could Win a Year's Worth of Free Groceries From Whole Foods—Here's How
Calling all foodies: Put your thinking caps on and let the creative juices flow because cooking up an original holiday recipe could score you a year's worth of free groceries—and eternal culinary bragging rights.
Until Nov. 30, Whole Foods will be holding its Next Hot Bar Star contest, which invites people to create and post a video of themselves making a holiday side dish "worthy of the Whole Foods Market Hot Bar." The dish must feature at least one Whole Foods Market brand product with its packaging displayed in the video.
The contestant whose recipe reigns supreme will win a years' worth of groceries awarded as $10,000 in digital Whole Foods Market gift cards, as well as a two-person trip to Whole Foods Market Global Test Kitchen in Austin, Texas. The grocery chain will also offer a dish inspired by the winner's recipe at its Hot Bar during the holiday 2023 season.
On Dec. 20, Whole Foods will announce the winner, along with the three runners-up, who will receive $10,000 gift cards to the supermarket.
To enter the contest, you can post a video that does not exceed 60 seconds to one of three social media platforms: TikTok, Instagram, or Twitter. To have your entry count, follow @wholefoodsmarket on TikTok or @wholefoods on Instagram or Twitter, and include the the hashtag #WFMHotBarStarContest in the video's caption. Instagram submissions will need to have @wholefoods tagged in the caption, as well.
As you're brainstorming recipe ideas, it's important to note that the video must showcase your final dish and the steps you took to make it.
The Next Hot Bar Star competition is open to contestants who are at least 18 years old and live in the U.S., excluding Alaska, Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. Professional chefs, cooks, and recipe developers may not enter either. See here for the contest's full list of rules.
