On Veterans Day, restaurants around the country will be upholding their traditional giveaways for our military heroes. On Nov. 11, freebies in the form of meals, snacks, and drinks will be available at fast food chains and casual dining establishments as a small token of gratitude to veterans, active-duty military members, and their loved ones.
The following chains are offering something special this Nov. 11, but if your favorite local spot isn't listed, check in with them directly to see if they have any deals of their own. Dunkin'
On Nov. 11, all veterans and active-duty military can get a free donut of their choice at Dunkin' stores nationwide. It requires no purchase, but there's a limit of one per person and the order must be placed in person, not through the Dunkin' app. The offer is available while supplies last. Wendy's
Between 6:30 and 10:30 am local time, Wendy's is offering a free small breakfast combo to veterans and active-duty military members with a valid ID. There's no other purchase necessary, but be sure to check your local Wendy's hours to make sure you get there in time for this breakfast deal and keep in mind it isn't available for mobile orders.
McDonald's
McDonald's Veterans Day deals vary by location, but you can usually get a Value Meal or other menu item free of charge. Stop into your nearest McDonald's restaurant to check out the local offer, but as long as you have an ID, you should be able to get a freebie for Veterans Day.
Quaker Steak & Lube
A proof of service will get you a free meal of choice at this East Coast chain on Nov. 11. Quaker Steak & Lube locations are also honoring those who lost their lives fighting for this country with Fallen Soldiers Tables dressed in white table cloths.
Red Robin
Red Robin's Veterans Day deal actually starts on Nov. 12 and goes through the end of the month. Veterans and active military who are enrolled in Red Robin's Military Royalty program can get a free Tavern Burger and bottomless fries at any time during the promotion period. Joining the royalty program is free and only requires a valid ID.
BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse
Take your pick at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. Veterans and active military can snag any entree valued up to $14.95 for free, plus get a free Dr Pepper drink. All you need is your military ID or proof of service when you get there.
Starbucks
On Nov. 11, veterans, active-duty military members, and spouses can all get a complimentary Tall coffee at participating stores throughout the United States. Starbucks is also donating 25 cents from each hot coffee sale on Veterans Day to Team Red, White & Blue and Headstrong, which support mental health in the armed forces. Buffalo Wild Wings
Wings are on the house on Nov. 11! All military members, past and present, can get an order of 10 boneless wings and fries for free at Buffalo Wild Wings. The offer stand for both dine-in and takeout orders, and all you need to claim it is a military ID.
Denny's
Build your own Grand Slam at Denny's on Nov. 11 from 5 am to noon local time. Just show the server your military ID to get your meal on the house at participating Denny's restaurants.
California Pizza Kitchen
Veterans can choose from a list of meals on Nov. 11.
