Walk
Priore says the number one piece of advice she offers to clients who want to shed excess weight is to increase their daily step goal. "The amount of movement you do in a day matters," she explains, noting you should shoot for 8,000 to 10,000 steps on the daily. "I realize it can be hard to get that many steps in when working a typical 9 to 5 job, but even an extra 1,000 steps a day can make a difference. Try to give yourself 20 to 30-minute breaks during the day to get up and walk around," she says.
So find a picturesque route in your neighborhood or local community, or explore someplace totally new. Round up some walking buddies for a fun catch-up "walk and talk" sesh, or go it solo. One thing's for sure: You'll be crushing those extra steps in no time.

Hiking
If you live in a community (or close to one) with hiking trails, pick some of your favorite ones, pack up a backpack with water and snacks, lace up those hiking boots, and get going! Priore explains this fun outdoor activity is a sneaky way to get in a workout without feeling like you're actually "working out." Plus, you'll be enjoying some fresh air and soaking up the beautiful scenery around you.
Priore adds, "When hiking (especially if you can walk up and downhill), you are working your leg muscles in a terrific way. It is an awesome way to tone, and you get the benefits of being outdoors!"

Zumba
If you love to dance, dance it out with some Zumba classes. You'll be working up a sweat, burning calories, and getting toned in no time at all. According to Priore, "The choreography is usually simple, and the classes are always so much fun! You get your heart rate up and work your arm and leg muscles."
Biking
Biking is another way to get active in the great outdoors while soaking up the cool sites around you. It's even a fun way to explore a new town or city while traveling.
"Recreational biking is a great way to exercise," Priore says, adding, "Biking works your quads, glutes, hamstrings, core, and arms."
