I Ate Pizza Every Day for Two Weeks and Lost 20 Pounds
I woke up one day and I noticed I couldn't see my feet. My stomach was in the way.
It was August 2015. I had moved to America from Naples, Italy, and tipped the scale at an enormous 370 pounds, thanks to too many burgers, colas and fries. My doctor told me to stop eating so much. "If you keep this up," she warned me, "you'll be dead of a heart attack soon." I had back pain, knee pain, acid reflux, chest pain, terrible migraines, and anxiety. I had dangerously high cholesterol and shockingly low good cholesterol.
My doctor pleaded with me, "Think about your wife, your young son, and the second child on the way." That woke me up. I finally realized I had a responsibility to survive. And if I wanted to survive, I had to change.
So I worked with an expert nutritionist and developed an easy and effective meal plan that worked wonders for me. The results were spectacular: I lost 20 pounds in the first two weeks—and more than 100 pounds in nine months. It's called The Pizza Diet. Because believe it or not, I ate delicious pizza. Every. Single. Day.
My special meal plan and recipes—made with a quick and natural tomato sauce without sugar; a dough that you'll let ferment, to reduce gluten sensitivity; and delicious toppings—will help you become leaner and healthier, for life. Here's what happened to me on the plan.
I Reduced Cravings and Stayed Fuller Longer
Studies have shown that the larger particle size in stone ground flour compared to industrially milled flour reduces its Glycemic Index, meaning it's slower to absorb into the bloodstream and will cause less of a spike in your blood sugar. By slowing carbohydrate breakdown into sugar—eating the food on The Pizza Diet—you stay full longer and avoid blood sugar spikes and dips that can trigger overeating.
I Lost Weight Quickly
When I knew that I could enjoy my favorite food—pizza—every day, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. I did not get anxious about denying myself food, and I found that it was much easier to control calories and portion sizes throughout the day. Within the first week, the pounds started to melt away.
I Reduced Gluten Sensivities
I have gluten-free friends who cannot eat any other pizza but mine. That's because the 36-hour fermentation process during which my Pizza Diet dough rises breaks down most of the bread's gluten.
I Ate a Ton of Food
In addition to eating my weight-loss pizza for lunch, you'll enjoy a healthy breakfast and light dinner based on the Mediterranean Diet. That's the typical way of eating in countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, which focuses on fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, whole grains, and healthy fats like olive oil and avocado.
I'm Living My Healthiest, Happiest Life!
In the first 9 months of The Pizza Diet, I shed 114 pounds and completely turned my life around. My weight-loss story has gone around the globe. I was on the front page of the New York Post and featured in magazines and newspapers in South America, Asia, Australia, Europe, and Russia. People are fascinated by my example. They are amazed and encouraged when they see my before-and-after pictures. It proves to them that if I can do it, they can do it. I am living proof that you really can heal your body with food. And you can do it with delicious pizza—no joke. The Pizza Diet will show you how.
