Starbucks Has Finally Announced the PSL Return Date—& a Brand-New Fall Drink
The wait is finally over. After an Instagram user leaked Starbucks' autumn-inspired menu offerings last month, the coffee giant has revealed the 2022 release date of one of its most iconic fall beverages—along with some other seasonal favorites.
Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, August 30), customers can get their hands on Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte, which is back for the 19th year in a row. The beloved PSL is made with the coffee chain's signature espresso and steamed milk and features flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. Topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices, the cozy drink can be enjoyed hot, iced, or blended throughout the fall season while supplies last.
It's important to note, however, that a grande-sized hot PSL could cost between $5.45 and $5.95, which is about 4% more expensive than it was last year, according to CNN.

Also making an appearance on Starbucks' fall menu is a new, dairy-free take on last year's Apple Crisp Macchiato. Now, the drink—which combines flavors of apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar—will be made with oat milk and the chain's Blonde Espresso.
"Crafting the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato with Starbucks Blonde Espresso gives the beverage a soft and smooth foundation that ties all the flavors together," Starbucks beverage developer Harvey Rojas Mora said in a company statement. "The oat milk adds a creaminess and brings forward the oat flavors of a traditional apple crisp topping."
Rounding out the autumnal beverage lineup is Starbucks' Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. Making its fourth appearance on the menu, this limited-time drink is made with Starbucks' cold brew, sweetened with vanilla syrup, topped with pumpkin cream cold foam, and dusted with pumpkin spice.
That's not all, though. Joining the three fall themed-drinks is a new Owl Cake Pop, which consists of vanilla cake and buttercream dipped in purple "chocolate-y" icing that features an owl design. The coffee chain will also be serving up its limited-time Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and Pumpkin Scone, as well as its the cherished Pumpkin Loaf, which is available all year round.
Starbucks' fall menu drop comes almost three weeks after Dunkin' released its own fall menu lineup, which includes its Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, pumpkin flavored baked goods, Maple Sugar Bacon, and two brand-new sips: a Blood Orange Dunkin' Refresher and a Nutty Pumpkin Coffee. It may still feel like summer in most parts of the U.S., but PSL season is the unofficial start of fall, and frankly, we're ready for it.
