Costco's Rival is Offering Membership for $15 Less Right Now, Plus Other Perks
Costco just recently added a deal to new members who join this spring—sign up for a Gold Star membership and get a $10 shop card to use in the warehouse or get a $20 card when signing up for an Executive membership. But one of the chain's rivals is joining in on offering the chance to shop for even cheaper.
Like Costco, Sam's Club has two membership options—a Club Membership and a Plus Membership. To entice shoppers to join, the Walmart-owned warehouse chain is also taking after its rival and offering some additional perks besides access to bulk-sized items. Compared to the $60 cost of a Costco membership, Sam's Club is $15 cheaper and includes over $100 Uber credits. (For more, here are 6 Things You'll See at Costco This Year.)
Once a new member signs up, the credits are sent to their account in $10 vouchers once a month for a year. Each voucher expires at the end of the month in which they are sent, according to USA Today. For those who don't use the ride-sharing app, a $45 electronic gift card can be included in the new membership activation instead through this link.
Other perks of having a Sam's Club membership include individualized promotions and savings, free shipping on some items, curbside pickup for free, gas, full refunds, and free tire repair on any tires that meet the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association guidelines—regardless of where they were purchased.
