These New Menu Items Are Coming to Taco Bell This Month
As gimmicky as it might seem, the Doritos Locos Taco is actually one of Taco Bell's best-selling products of all time. When the taco debuted in 2012, sales from the first 14 months exceeded 500 million—the equivalent of about 1.1 million Doritos Locos Tacos sold per day. That's a lot of Dorito dust.
In the years since, Taco Bell has developed a whole line of Doritos-flavored tacos, transforming the DLT from a one-time offer into a pillar of the Taco Bell menu. Now, to celebrate the beloved taco's ten-year anniversary (and to mark its own 60th birthday), Taco Bell has created yet another kind of DLT: the new Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos.

The new DLT is exactly what it sounds like: a classic Taco Bell taco, seasoned (liberally) with Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Doritos dust. Based on the pictures of the taco, you're going to want a napkin or two on hand before crunching down on this thing.
The specialty taco, due out this Thursday, will run you about $1.89. But for just 80 cents more, you can upgrade your order to "Supreme"—which gets you extra toppings like sour cream and tomatoes.
The Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch DLT isn't Taco Bell's only new release. The chain has gone the extra mile this week with the debut of two new crispy chicken menu items—the new Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco and the new Cantina Crispy Chicken Tortada. Both come loaded with Taco Bell's signature crispy chicken—plus lettuce, tomato, and your choice of one of two sauces: Creamy Chipotle or Avocado ranch.
The tortada, unfortunately, is only available at select locations in Sacramento, Calif. As for the new tacos, there's no word yet on how long they'll be available (and DLTs tend to be limited-time offers)—so you'll want to get them while you can. And don't forget those napkins.
