This Major Southern Burger Chain Just Brought Back Several Discontinued Items
From Taco Bell's beloved Mexican Pizza to McDonald's ubiquitous snack wrap—some menu cuts are still stirring up rebellion among fans, months and even years after they've taken place. But when it comes to the Southern burger staple Whataburger, the chain was smart to cater to its loyal customer base by recently bringing back several retired customer favorites.
According to a press release, Whataburger is bringing back the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich and Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Salad—limited-time items that were last spotted on the menu in early 2021.

The Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich is layered with three crispy, all-white meat Whatachick'n Strips, two slices of Monterey Jack, Buttermilk Ranch sauce as well as Whataburger's one-of-a-kind Buffalo Sauce.
First launched for a limited time in 2015, the Buffalo Ranch chicken sandwich was so popular that in 2020, Whataburger decided to bring it back with a matching salad.
The salad is built on a bed of Red Roma lettuce blend and includes shredded carrots, three crispy bacon strips cut into pieces, grape tomatoes, Whataburger's Buffalo Sauce drizzle, and blue cheese crumbles, with a side of Buttermilk Ranch Dressing. It comes with your choice of a diced Grilled Chicken, Whatachick'n, or Spicy Chicken filet.
Besides the two entrée favorites, a popular discontinued drink is also making a comeback at the burger chain. According to Thrillist, the Dr Pepper Shake is again available at Whataburger. The seasonal shake has been gone since mid-2021, but the blend of ice cream and Dr Pepper syrup is making yet another limited-time appearance.
And if you want even more novelty, Whataburger is debuting a proprietary sauce blend called Spicy Ketchup Limited Batch #2, which has an additional kick of heat compared to regular ketchup.
All four items are now available at the chain's locations nationwide.
