Costco Just Brought Back Another Beloved Fall Bakery Item
It's officially spooky season and that means fall favorites are making their way to Costco—which is known to put some items out early. However, joining the more warehouse bakery section patches is another pumpkin-flavored sweet treat.
Along with the iconic huge pumpkin pie and the pumpkin streusel muffins, the pumpkin spice loaf is a cheap autumn staple. The other two have been available for weeks but now the loaf is finished growing and ready for harvesting at more warehouses.

The pumpkin spice loaf is officially back at Costco.
Costco Instagram account @costcosisters posted about the loaf on Sept. 16, but two others, @costcobuys and @costco_empties, alerted their followers to the find on Oct. 5.
The $7.99 pumpkin treat is covered in cream cheese icing and white chocolate shavings and weighs over 2 pounds. Members in the comments on all three posts are very excited to have it back for the season, with one even noting that they wish it stuck around until Thanksgiving, as it would make the perfect post-turkey dessert.
Last year shoppers went crazy over this bakery item on Reddit, saying whether eaten warmed up or cold, this treat is definitely no trick.
It's one of the largest pumpkin (treats) in the Costco patch.
As we know, each Costco bakery item is one that is perfect for eating slowly and/or sharing, and this pumpkin spice loaf is no exception. While the exact nutritional information isn't known, a 2+ pound combo of pumpkin, sugar, cream cheese, and lots of other ingredients is not one to devour like a kid on Halloween night.
While dense and full of sugar and carbs, the pumpkin spice loaf isn't the only item in the Costco bakery section that should be approached like a haunted house.
Here are two other treats that should be avoided, according to dietitians.
Apple Crumb Muffins
These chewy, cinnamon and apple-filled muffins actually contain over 600 calories and 30 grams of fat, and won't keep you full for very long. Consider slicing it in half (which is actually the recommended serving amount) and adding in some fiber to help keep hunger at bay.

Coffee Cake Mufifns
Again, Costco sets the serving size for this muffin at half—and this still contains 330 calories, 15 grams of fat, 46 carbs, and 26 grams of sugar. Keeping this in mind can really help cravings because, in the end, moderation is always better than restriction, dietitians say.
