Camila Cabello Slams Haters Who Criticized Her Body In This Crop Top
Camila Cabello has always spread a message of self-acceptance through her music, and now, the star is doing the same in her personal life by standing up to body-shamers. In a new TikTok, the "My Oh My" singer hit back at critics, letting them know that she's not about to stop living her life, even if she's occasionally met with unwarranted judgment for doing so.
"I was just running in the park, minding my own business, trying to be fit, trying to keep it healthy. And I am wearing a top that shows my belly and I wasn't tucking it. 'Cause I was running and existing like a normal person that doesn't tuck it in all the time!" she explained after multiple news outlets posted photos of her mid-workout.

However, after some momentary reflection, Cabello decided that letting the scrutiny get to her simply wasn't worth her time. "I reminded myself: being at war with your body is so last season."
Instead, Cabello chose to praise her body and all the amazing things it's capable of.

"I am grateful for this body that lets me do what I need to do," she explained. "We are real women with curves and cellulite and stretch marks and fat and we gotta own that baby!"
While Cabello may be an avid exerciser these days, she's admitted in the past that she didn't always have such an active lifestyle. In a 2015 interview with Pressparty, the singer revealed that she had never exercised before joining Fifth Harmony.
"I remember the first 20 minutes because I had never worked out before in my life and I literally threw up," she told the publication.
This isn't the first time Cabello has opened up about the scrutiny she receives on a regular basis. In a 2019 interview with NME, the star said that limiting her use of social media was a "good mental health choice."
"When I feel myself going on Instagram, I feel gross. I feel sick. Like, I wanna delete it because it makes me too self-conscious and it makes me have this weird feeling. I'm like, eugh. It's like [there's] something in me that's like: 'That's not how I want you to live your life,' you know?"
