Ariana Grande Calls This Workout Her "Happy Place" in New Pic
Ariana Grande's high-energy music videos and live performances require not only serious dedication to memorizing steps, but serious commitment to staying fit and healthy, too. When the singer isn't lighting up the stage, you're likely to find her in the gym, working out with friends to stay fit and healthy. In a new Instagram Story post, Grande just opened up about the exercise routine she calls her "happy place."

She loves Pilates.
In a May 2 post to her Instagram Stories, Grande shared a photo of herself lying down on Pilates reformer, an ear-to-ear grin on her face. "Happy place," she captioned the picture, tagging Los Angeles-based Forma Pilates.
It's not just Pilates that keeps Grande in such great shape, however. In an interview with Popsugar, Grande's trainer, Harley Pasternak, revealed that walking is an equally important part of her exercise routine.
"I give [Ariana] a step goal every day…Twelve-thousand steps a day and she hits it. I can't imagine her being still," said Pasternak.

She eats a plant-based diet.
Grande has stuck to a plant-based diet for years, hoping that her eating habits may increase her longevity in the long run.
"I am a firm believer in eating a full plant-based, whole food diet that can expand your life length and make you an all-around happier person," she told the Mirror. "It is tricky dining out, but I just stick to what I know—veggies, fruit and salad—then when I get home, I'll have something else."
She keeps junk food to a minimum.
Grande has undergone significant weight loss during her time in the spotlight, but it's not some crash diet that spurred the transformation. Instead, she says, she simply stopped making junk food her primary food source.
"The reason why I lost so much weight as I did is because I used to live on junk food," she wrote in a Tumblr post (via E! Online). "So I drastically changed my eating habits, started excising daily, and I'm all around a healthier me." For more celebrity transformations, Kelly Osbourne Opens Up About Her 90-Pound Weight Loss.
But she makes healthy convenience foods a priority.
While Grande may not be filling up on junk food these days, she's also not spending hours in the kitchen to make healthy food.
"Ariana loves, soups, smoothies, and salads, which are all great foods for anyone who is short on time," Pasternak told Shape. "Soups, smoothies, and salads don't really require a lot of effort. They're a great way to take the guesswork out of cooking and make eating healthy simple."
