Khloé Kardashian's Easy Pre-Workout 3-Ingredient Breakfasts
If you're an avid viewer of Khloe Kardashian's Snapchat, you already know that she loves starting her day with a challenging workout. Considering her a.m. involves heavy weights and rigorous cardio, Khloe recently revealed on her website that she fuels her fitness routine with breakfasts that are "quick and easy, yet packed with lots of vitamins and protein."
However, the slimmed-down star's busy schedule requires her to spend minimal time in the kitchen. "We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but that doesn't mean it has to be so much […] work to prepare," she penned. Thankfully, Kardashian shared her favorite 3-ingredient breakfasts that happen to be wholesome and "sooo easy." Find out what foods she starts her day with, and if you're not a fan of Khloe's picks, you can always fall back on our tried and true 37 Best Breakfast Foods for Weight Loss.
Veggie Omelette
If you're craving something savory upon waking up, "Start off by cutting up the bell peppers (I love to use red, yellow, and green) and cook them in a nonstick pan over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes," Khloe explains. "Once they're slightly tender, throw in a good handful of spinach and keep stirring all the veggies until the spinach is wilted. Then remove everything from the pan and set aside." We totally commend Koko for using two of our favorite weight loss foods to add into eggs in her own winning recipe!
Next, she offers a helpful hack: "I like to beat my eggs in a Pyrex measuring cup, so then I can just pour them into my pan. Cook on a medium heat, pushing in the edges with a spatula and tilting the pan so that any of the raw egg hits the heat. Once the top surface of the eggs has cooked, add back in your bell peppers and spinach mixture to one side of the pan and fold the eggs over, creating a little pocket. That's it!"
Fruity Parfait
Here's a breakfast idea that doesn't require a stove top: protein-packed Greek yogurt parfaits. Khloe tosses in fresh fruit like strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries for added antioxidants and healthy carbs that help power her workouts. She also sprinkles in Purely Elizabeth granola, one of the World's Healthiest Granolas, for extra energy.
Almond Butter and Banana Toast
Sometimes Kardashian prefers to rise and shine with a fueling breakfast that's both sweet and savory. "Almond butter and bananas are two of my favorites before or after a sweat sesh—but put the two together and 😍!" she wrote. "For this one, just pop a slice or two of whole-wheat bread into the toaster. While that's doing its thing, cut the banana into bite-size pieces. Once the toast is done, just spread on some almond butter (Justin's Vanilla is my all-time fave), add your banana slices, and you're good to go." Seems simple enough.
"This breakfast is packed with fiber and potassium. It will keep you full well into lunchtime!" It's true: almond butter is brimming with healthy fats and protein while bananas pack in potassium, which helps your muscles recover post workout.
