Have you tried adding avocado to your diet? Well, good news: you can add it to more foods than just guac and tacos. Avocado is the perfect weight-loss food, and it can help satisfy your hunger with every delicious green bite! A novel new way to enjoy it? In this green avocado-lime smoothie recipe, of course.

Avocados are a great source of healthy fats in your diet. They are a good appetite suppressant, and they can even help absorb more nutrients. According to a study published by the Molecular Nutrition & Food Research, adding a monounsaturated fat (like avocado) to a salad can actually help in consuming more healthy nutrients from a meal.

Plus, avocados are such a universally-loved food! There are many avocado recipes you can attempt to make with this delicious healthy fat, but we love the new idea of adding it to a smoothie. If you have avocado left over, try making this Grilled Chicken and Avocado Salad, or even this Avocado Margarita!

And, of course, avocados are great smashed up into our favorite dip of all time: Guacamole! These guacamole recipes will have you dipping chips into it all day long. After all, healthy fats help you feel full, and avocados are one of the best ones to have!

Once you make one of these avocado recipes, or this delectable avocado-lime smoothie, we all know what you're going to do with it: Post it on Instagram, of course! Avocados are such a great food to post on Instagram…until they turn brown. But don't worry, there's an easy way to keep avocados fresh that will make yours last longer—enough to get that gorgeous photo, at least!
