Minisha Sood, MD, FACE, ECNU

Dr. Sood is an Assistant Professor at the Hofstra School of Medicine and a board-certified Endocrinologist / Obesity Medicine specialist. After receiving her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at NYU Langone Medical Center. As a past Director of Inpatient Diabetes at Lenox Hill Hospital, Dr. Sood has extensive experience in developing and implementing policies and guidelines to create best practice for the management of inpatient Diabetes. In January 2017, Dr. Sood made the transition into private practice and is the co-founder of Fifth Avenue Endocrinology, PLLC in New York City. In addition to practicing general endocrinology, Dr. Sood is certified in endocrine neck ultrasound.

Dr. Sood is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society. She also serves on the board of the Independent Doctors of New York. Dr. Sood has been named to Super Doctors® in the New York Times by her peers from 2014 to the present as well as Castle Connolly Top Doctors 2017 to the present.
