Dr. Juan Rivera, MD, has become the wellness north star of the Hispanic community. Since 2012, he has been Univisión's Chief Medical Correspondent. His highly visible role across all content channels at Univisión gives him a broad platform to promote health and wellness to the large Hispanic population of the U.S., including information on the COVID pandemic.
Dr. Juan has done guest appearances on Good Morning America talking about diet and weight loss, cardiovascular prevention and the effect of the pandemic on minority populations. He is the author of the bestsellers, Mejora Tu Salud De Poquito a Poco and The Mojito Diet (his first book for the English-language market).
He is the visionary behind the Santo Remedio concept, a focus on science-based historical remedies. Dr. Juan's Strange Medicine journey led to his bestselling book Santo Remedio, now in its tenth edition. He further expanded the Santo Remedio concept with the recently published Santo Remedio para Mujeres.
The overwhelming success of the Santo Remedio concept inspired Dr. Juan to create the Santo Remedio line of natural supplements and OTC products, focused specifically on the needs of the Hispanic market. Under the Santo Remedio umbrella are Entalla, a complete diet system and Piel Eterna, a dermatologist created skin care line. Santo Remedio is the culmination of years of his personal curiosity, clinical experience, media expertise, patient and audience feedback, and incredible connection with the Hispanic community.
A board certified Cardiologist, Dr. Juan is a graduate of Baltimore's prestigious Johns Hopkins University. Despite his many media duties, he continues to maintain a successful private practice in Miami Beach, Fla. His exemplary career and passionate work for the good of Hispanics led the Asociación Médica Nacional Hispana to award Dr. Juan the prestigious Premio al Liderazgo en Salud.
